I visited Ghent (or Gent) during one of my business travel to Belgium. Both Ghent and Bruges (or Brugge) are popular visited places in Belgium. Since this was only a day trip, I could only managed to visit Ghent as from where I was based (Liege) it takes 2 hours by train and Bruges is little further, would have liked to visit both places.
Leaving early in the morning, I took the train from the beautiful and impressive architecture train station, Liège-Guillemins which also is a main station for Liege and connects to many destinations including high speed trains to France, Germany, etc
